Join us for weekly Wednesday night bible study at 6:30 pm
Mark you calendars for a church family picnic at the Floyd’s house on Saturday June 29th. Bring your swimsuits, sunscreen, and be ready for fun! There will be games, food, fellowship, water slide, and a bounce house. More details to come.
We will be having church service at the riverside on May 19th at 11 AM. Worship will take place at John E. Painter Park (formerly known as Mountain View) in Grottoes. If you would like to be baptized following the service please see Pastor Corey. We will share in a meal following, please bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. Meat will be provided.
Youth will not be meeting in the month of May. Mark your calendars starting June 2nd, Sunday as we will begin Summer Youth with Pastor Corey! We will meet every Sunday from 6-7:30 pm throughout the summer. Youth pool party at Mark and Jan Chase’s house August 3rd at 11am-2pm.
There is a ladies prayer group every Monday morning at 9 am; usually meeting at the church. All ladies are welcome to attend. If questions please see Donna Collins or Sandy Reed.
The next ladies night gathering will be Friday February 9th at 6:30 PM in the bible study room of the community center. Come fellowship, share in snacks, and a short devotional/lesson with other ladies of New Life Baptist Church.
Bible study is each week on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM. These take place either on the gym side in the back right room or the sanctuary side of the community center in New Hope. All are welcome to join in the study of God’s Word.
The Youth Super Bowl party will be on February 11th at Kayla and Bobby Barhorst’s home (see bulletin for address), starting at 5 PM. Bring a snack or dessert to share! Wear your favorite football jersey or colors!!
We will be having a luncheon right after church on Sunday February 18th. All are welcome, it will be followed by a brief members meeting. Please bring a side dish and/or dessert to share! Meat and drinks will be provided.
We are partnering with Comfort Care, Women’s Health for their baby bottle campaign. Your pocket change can change lives! Pick up a baby bottle at the connect table and fill it with change, cash, or checks. All bottles must be returned to the connect table by February 18th.
We are in need of someone to take over Bulletins beginning in December.
We are also still in need for more help in the Wee Praise Class (ages 3-kindergaten), nursery (newborn to 2 years), and CIA class (1st grade through 5th grade). Please see Danielle if interested in helping/learning more about opportunities to serve at New Life!
The ladies of the church meet weekly for prayer time at various locations on Monday mornings at 9 am. Please see Donna Collins or Sandy Reed with any questions; all ladies are welcome.
We are collecting new and gently used Christian books for children ages Newborn-4th grade. There is a collection basket next to the welcome table if you are able to help/donate.
We have a need for people interested in leading music, be a part of a group, or play an instrument. We would like to form an ensemble or choir for people who love to sing but don’t necessarily love the “spotlight”. If interested in any of these musical opportunities, please contact Jan Chase at 540-256-1384.
Our “New Hope Christmas” will be on Friday, December 8th. The parade will start at 6 PM with activities in the gym of the community center to follow. We need lots of help the week of the event for set up, take down, and volunteers during the event.
Starting Sunday October 29th, we will be starting a new check in process for all Children’s Ministry. We want to start this for the safety of the children. Parents will need to check in their child/children at the check in table on the sanctuary side of worship; there will be someone there to assist. Then they will be dismissed after music/worship time to go to the gym side. Any questions, see Danielle.
Bible study has resumed but is meeting on the church side of the community center on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8 PM. Gary and Sandy Reed are hosting a video series on Israel and the locations Jesus taught; “Taught by Ray Vander Laan”.
The New Life GroundBreakers are officially “First Responders” for Foster Love Ministries. This means whenever kids come into foster care, if their foster families do not have all supplies they need, we jump in to help!
Sunday, October 22nd, we are doing a yard clean up day fundraiser. If you or someone in your family needs some yard clean up before winter, we are the people! We have rakes, industrial trash bags, and a leaf blower. If you need any other special job, ask us and we may be able to accommodate. All work done for donations for our new “First Responder” ministry and decorations for our Groundbreakers Christmas float!
The Groundbreakers “are you Falloween Jesus?” celebration is Sunday, 10/29 from 3-8 PM.
Join us for a riverside church service on Sunday September 24th at 11 am in Grottoes. There will be a covered dish meal following the service along with some baptisms. Please bring lawn chairs, a side dish, and a dessert to share for the meal.
We will be hosting an annual trunk or treat event at the community center parking lot on October 28th from 3-5 pm. We need lots of volunteers/cars to pass out candy to community members. We are also accepting candy donations at the Connect Table.
Upcoming practices at Barren Ridge Ball Fields on: April 30th from 3:30-5 PM, May 7th from 2-3:30 PM, and May 14th 5-6:30 PM. Games will begin the week of May 16th, official schedule to come!
There will be another New Life Men’s breakfast at Armstrong’s restaurant at 8 AM on April 29th. Any man interested in men’s ministry please get Todd Ritchie your phone number!
We are making Journey Bags for Foster Love Ministries for infants 0-3 months. Monetary donations are appreciated so these babies that are removed from their homes can have what they need for first couple days with their foster family. Shopping will be done April 16th, and delivery will be April 17th.
Come join us for our Riverside service at Mountain View Park in Grottoes on May 21st at 11 AM. We will have a potluck meal following the service with meat provided. Please bring a dessert/side to share.
Our Wednesday evening Bible study will resume on April 12th and continue weekly at 6:30 PM. We meet on the gym side of the New Hope Community Center.
The next ladies event will be Friday, April 14th at 6:30 PM at Augusta Nursing Home. We want to welcome all ladies to come sing with us!

The New Hope Fire Dept. is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 8, 2023 at 12 PM. We will be collecting candy the next couple of weeks to fill eggs. Please place donations of candy in the tote at the Connect Table (please purchase candy small enough to fit in the eggs).
